Veteran Antitrust and IP Lawyer and Economist Joins Bona Law as Of Counsel

April 5, 2019

Joining Bona Law as Of Counsel, Dr. Lila B. Glaser brings a unique combination of antitrust attorney, economist and patent attorney to the firm. Educated at Berkeley Law, the Yale Economics Department and the University of Texas at Austin College of Engineering, Lila has a diverse set of skills that both complement the breadth of problems solved and deepen the analysis of matters handled at Bona Law.

Lila has more than two decades of experience in antitrust litigation, economic analysis and patent litigation, licensing, and protection across numerous industries including, among others, aerospace, civil engineering, computer hardware and software, medical devices, hospitals, foods and supplements, airlines, livestock, and construction. She was previously an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas in antitrust and consumer protection. She has also been an expert witness economist in private litigation and class actions.

Lila has taught antitrust, intellectual property, economics and business law at both the graduate and undergraduate level at universities including Yale, the University of Texas at Austin, Rutgers and the University of Nevada, Reno. She also recently served for six years on the Nevada Governor’s Aerospace and Defense Sector Council.

Lila’s multidisciplinary experience provides Bona Law clients an advantage that most other firms do not offer. As an economist with expert experience, a patent attorney and a practicing antitrust lawyer, Lila’s addition to the team allows Bona Law to both conduct significant economic analyses and to analyze intellectual property matters such as patent infringement, patent licensing, copyright infringement and trade secret misappropriation and to more effectively retain, coordinate, and supervise independent expert witness economists and technical experts, ultimately reducing costs and maximizing outcomes in litigation.

Lila is admitted to practice in California, Texas, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is also an FAA licensed private pilot.
