June 22, 2026
Bona Law is pleased to announce that attorney Luis Blanquez has been appointed to serve as Vice Chair of the Media and Technology Committee of the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section for the 2026–2027 ABA year.
The appointment reflects Luis’s growing leadership in antitrust law, particularly in matters involving technology, media, digital platforms, and competition issues in rapidly evolving markets. He advises and represents clients in antitrust litigation, regulatory matters, compliance counseling, and competition-related business strategy. His term for the Media and Technology Committee appointment runs from 2026 to 2029.
The ABA Antitrust Law Section is one of the leading organizations for antitrust, consumer protection, and competition law professionals. Its committees play an important role in advancing scholarship, programming, professional development, and engagement across the antitrust bar.
As Vice Chair of the Media and Technology Committee, Luis will help support the Section’s work in an area of increasing importance to businesses, regulators, and practitioners. Media and technology markets continue to generate some of the most significant competition law questions today, including issues involving digital platforms, data, algorithms, artificial intelligence, online marketplaces, interoperability, exclusionary conduct, mergers, and emerging business models.
Luis’s appointment reflects both his commitment to the antitrust community and Bona Law’s continued involvement in thought leadership at the intersection of competition law and innovation. In this role, Luis will contribute to committee goals, support member engagement, promote relevant programming, and help mentor new and young Section members.
Luis expressed his appreciation for the appointment and for the support of his Bona Law colleagues, including Steven Cernak, a former Chair of the ABA Antitrust Law Section.
Bona Law congratulates Luis on this well-deserved appointment and looks forward to his continued contributions to the antitrust and competition law community.
