Antitrust Boutique Bona Law PC Launches New Minneapolis Office

November 2, 2015

Bona Law PC, a national and international antitrust litigation and counseling boutique with offices in San Diego and New York, announced on October 11, 2019 that it will expand its physical presence into the Midwest by opening an office in downtown Minneapolis.

Bona Law offers big-law quality in a small boutique and boasts a team of lawyers from top schools, many of whom have clerked for federal judges and worked at international law firms such as Gibson Dunn, Sidley Austin, and DLA Piper on antitrust litigation, distribution issues, merger clearances, and appeals.

The Minneapolis office is led by Aaron Gott and Luke Hasskamp, both of whom are Bona Law partners that are licensed to practice in both California and Minnesota.

Gott, who previously worked at the firm’s San Diego office, began his law career in Minnesota. He is a top-rated antitrust lawyer who focuses on antitrust litigation, complex business litigation, challenges to government conduct, and appeals. Gott is one of the nation’s leading lawyers on issues involving antitrust litigation against state and local government entities and has served as lead counsel in several high-profile antitrust cases. He is also a combat veteran who served nearly ten years in the U.S. Army.

Hasskamp is a Minnesota native who recently joined Bona Law from Robins Kaplan LLP in Minneapolis. He has extensive federal court experience, having clerked for Judge Kermit E. Bye of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Minneapolis, Judge Manuel L. Real of the Central District of California, and Judge Robert G. James of the Western District of Louisiana. He has litigated numerous antitrust, class action, and civil RICO cases.

Bona Law has strong ties to Minnesota. The firm’s CEO, Jarod Bona, is a Minnesota native who clerked for Judge James B. Loken of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Minneapolis and worked at international firms in Minneapolis before moving to San Diego. He maintains an inactive-status license in Minnesota. He considers Minnesota a second home and is, of course, loyal to its sports teams.

The Minneapolis office is located at 15 South 9th Street.

The firm will hold a public reception to celebrate the Minneapolis office launch on October 17 from 5–7pm at The Local, 931 Nicollet Mall, downtown Minneapolis.
