Bona Law Antitrust Attorneys Recognized by Award Groups

Bona Law lawyers Jarod Bona, Aaron Gott, Jon Cieslak, and Steven Cernak have been recognized as top lawyers in the field by prominent lawyer award groups in 2021.
Jarod Bona received the 2021 SuperLawyers designation for antitrust litigation, an honor reserved for the top 5% of eligible lawyers in the San Diego market, for the fourth year in a row. Aaron Gott was recognized as a 2021 SuperLawyers Rising Star for antitrust litigation, a rating reserved for the top 2.5% of younger lawyers in the market, for the third year in a row.
Steven Cernak received the 2021 Best Lawyers® designation for antitrust law in the United States for the second year in a row, representing a consensus opinion of leading lawyers about his skill and ability as an antitrust lawyer. He was also recognized by DBusiness magazine’s 2021 Detroit Top Lawyers for antitrust law. Jon Cieslak received the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch designation in 2021 for commercial litigation and antitrust litigation, an award recognizing outstanding professional excellence for lawyers who are earlier in their careers.
Super Lawyers ratings are awarded after an extensive nominating and selection process. An individual lawyer must first be nominated by a threshold number of his or her peers to be considered by the selection committee. He has represented parties nationwide before numerous federal district courts, federal courts of appeal, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Steven Cernak is a partner at Bona Law who advises clients on a broad array of competition and consumer protection matters, including compliance programs, joint efforts with competitors, pricing and distribution strategies, and merger reviews. He was in-house antitrust counsel at General Motors for over 20 years and spent another seven years at another law firm before joining Bona Law.
Jon Cieslak is a partner at Bona Law who represents clients in complex business litigation and white-collar criminal defense, focusing on antitrust and competition law claims, prosecutions, and investigations. He has extensive experience with all manner of civil antitrust claims, including claims under the Sherman Act, California's Cartwright Act, and other state competition laws across a variety of industries, including electronics, manufacturing, travel, media, and the gig economy. Jon also has substantial experience as a white collar criminal defense lawyer, in both antitrust and other matters, having represented companies and C-suite executives in investigations and prosecutions brought by federal and state law enforcement agencies.
